A truck hit two parked cars Friday on the city’s southwest side, injuring one person and sending them to the hospital.

According to witnesses, a blue truck was traveling south on Ohio Street when it plowed into a white transit van, which hit a red minivan. The impact of the crash sent the van into a nearby yard where it looked to have hit a tree.

One person was transported by ambulance to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s. The extent of the person’s injuries are unknown.

We will update this story when we get more information.
