Caledonia police say a 76-year-old Racine man was seriously injured Monday when the Jeep he was driving collided with a semi-truck.

The man has been identified as Jerald Hargraves, and CPD Lt. Brian Wall confirmed his injuries were serious enough to have him airlifted by Flight for Lift to Froedtert Hospital but were not life threatening.

Wall said Hargraves failed to obey the stop sign at Golf Road and E. Frontage Road at 3:41 p.m. Monday, and he collided with a semi driven by a 28-year-old man from Iowa. That man was not injured in the crash, but Hargraves had to be extricated from his vehicle by Caledonia Fire crews.

Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
