Area seniors will have another option to call home once Parkview Senior Living finishes a new, 73-unit building with one- and two-bedroom apartments.
One-bedroom units at Parkview IV will rent for $612 and two-bedroom homes will run $887 per month, a story from The Journal Times reads.
The new building will mirror the design of Parkview III; three levels that measure 28,000 square feet each and a basement/parking area.
Parkview is located on Douglas Avenue just north of 4-Mile Road in Caledonia and first opened in 2000. In addition to offering apartments for independent adults age 55 and up at below-market rates, Parkview offers an assisted living facility of 47 units. The new building represent a $10 to $15 million investment from developer Alf McConnell of Evanston, Ill.
McConnell told the newspaper he specializes in projects for seniors because he has a “soft spot” for that demographic.
Parkview IV is expected to open sometime next year.
