Mount Pleasant police say two Racine men are facing felony armed robbery charges after holding a woman at gunpoint Friday and stealing her purse.
Officers from MPPD and Racine were called at 8:45 p.m. to the neighborhood at Durand and Kearney Avenues for a report of an armed robbery. When police arrived, a woman told them she was walking out to her car in the 2200 block of Durand Avenue and was approached by two males wearing Halloween masks.
One of the suspects displayed a firearm and took the woman’s purse. They fled northbound on foot and were last seen on Dwight Street. Police took a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old man into custody a short time later.
