Two men were arrested in connection with the death of Thomas Borglin, a 34-year-old Racine man who died Monday in his home in the 1500 block of Grove Ave.
A 28-year-old Racine man and a 33-year-old Racine man face charges of first degree intentional homicide and theft. The 33-year-old man is being held on a probation violation. A 27-year-old Racine man was also arrested for two counts of aiding a felon and theft, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.
No formal charges have been filed by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.
No cause of death has been identified in the case. But within hours of Borglin’s death, investigators learned the identities of the suspects in the case.
“Subsequent investigation revealed that the subject of this death investigation was involved in a physical altercation with acquaintances within his residence. Probable cause now exists to connect the physical assault with the victim’s death,” wrote RAPD Lt. David Wohlgemuth wrote in a press release.
The investigation is on-going.
