Two local companies are growing, and they are adding positions as a result.

HFI Fluid Power Products and Vista Dental plan to add 12 and 43 new jobs, respectively, a story in The Journal Times reads.

HFI, 1210 Washington Avenue, is acquiring the vacant building at 1228 Washington and plans to make improvements like replacing boarded up window openings with new windows or glass block. The company will add 12 jobs over the next three years.

Vista Dental, 2200 Northwestern Ave., will receive over $122,000 in financial incentives to move to 2200 South Street and create 43 jobs over the next three years, bringing their workforce to right around 90. Vista manufactures tools and equipment for dental offices and is launching an oral cancer screening device this year.

Mayor John Dickert told the newspaper that Vista has promised to give first hiring preference to qualified city residents.
