ORIGINAL STORY: A  nine-year-old girl and her father were killed in a car crash by a drunk driver on 4 Mile Road at Old Farm Road at about 5 p.m. Friday night.

Emily Dalley, her father Kevin Dalley and her six-year-old sister were traveling eastbound in a sedan when Kevin turned left into a subdivision. Levi Ruohonen, 25, of Caledonia, crashed the pick-up truck he was driving into the car, according to a press release by the Caledonia Police Department.

Emily and Kevin died as a result of the injuries they sustained from the crash. The six-year-old girl was taken to Ascension-All Saints Hospital, then transported by Flight For Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, according to scanner reports.

Ruohonen, who is in custody at the Racine County Jail, was arrested for two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. This was his second drunk driving arrest. However, speed may also have been a factor in the crash.

We’ll update the story when we get more information.
