A 17-year-old Caledonia boy was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.
If convicted on both charges, the boy faces up to six months in jail and/or fines up to $11,000.
According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to a report of a boy trying to take a dog and his gun at residence in the 2900 block of Three Mile Road at 10 a.m. Jan. 4.
When officers arrived at the home, the boy had left and a relative  said he was likely going to a friend’s house. The woman told police that the boy had not been living at the home for about a week and he showed up to the house demanding his gun and his dog. The woman told him he couldn’t have them and the boy got angry and called the police.
The woman told the police that the boy also had punched holes in the bedroom walls in December.
The boy told police that he had been living at River Bend Nature Center and had slept in a drainage tunnel at Lockwood Park. However, police noticed that the boy did not appear to have slept in subzero temperature for a week since he was dressed in clean clothes.
The boy admitted to punching holes in his bedroom wall after he found out that his girlfriend had cheated on him.
