Five Running for Mount Pleasant Village Board

There will be five names on the ballot in April for Mount Pleasant Village Board; three of them incumbents.

In addition to Trustees Gary Feest, Jerry Garski and Don Schulz, Anna Marie Clausen and Rick McCluskey are also running.

Candidates had until 5 p.m. Tuesday to turn in their nomination paperwork.

This isn’t McCluskey’s first go at a seat on the village board. He ran in the 2012 general election and came in fourth. He was also nominated in May to fill the late Harry Manning’s seat, but Schulz got the nod instead.

McCluskey currently serves as the head of the Joint Fire/EMS Oversight Committee and is the vice-president of the Mount Pleasant Police & Fire Commission.
