Police: Gunshot Wound at Shooters Was an Accident

A 42-year-old Racine man suffered an accidental gunshot wound to the hand Saturday while he was at Shooters Sports Center.

Caledonia police Lt. Brian Wall told Racine County Eye that Arthuro Gasca, of Racine, was attempting to clear his weapon when it jammed.

“We are classifying this incident as an accident and there will not be any further investigation,” Wall said.

Gasca was transported to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s for treatment. His wound was not considered life-threatening.
