If you’ve ever wanted to get more involved with the school district but weren’t sure how to fit it into your schedule, Superintendent Lolli Haws has a great opportunity for you.
Haws is asking for interested community members to serve on an advisory council to talk about issues affecting the district and “directly support District leaders in accomplishing important goals outlined in the District’s three-year Raising Racine plan to improve the educational experience for students and families in RUSD.”
Volunteers interested in serving on the council are asked to fill out a quick form by Friday. Here’s the full notice from RUSD:
Participants must live or work in Racine and be willing to meet monthly in the evening. Advisory Council members will be expected to represent and support the work of the District in a positive, optimistic way.
All community members are welcome to volunteer by signing up herebefore Friday, Jan. 17. Selected members will be notified. Meetings will take place at the RUSD Administrative Service Campus (3109 Mt. Pleasant St.), building #1. Questions should be directed to Stacy Tapp at stacy.tapp@rusd.org or 262.631.7057.
