Community State Bank Robbery Suspect1

Mount Pleasant police are asking for help find the man who robbed Community State Bank Friday afternoon.

Officers were called at 1:03 p.m. for a hold up alarm at the bank, 8930 Washington Avenue. When police arrived, witness said the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. After he received an undisclosed amount of cash, the man exited the bank on foot, going east toward Fountain Hills Drive.

A weapon was not displayed.

According to a written release from MPPD, witnesses described the suspect:

  •  Black male
  • 600 to 601 feet tall
  • Brown Carhartt jacket with hood
  • Pilot type sunglasses
  • Blue jeans
  • White Nike hi-tops

K9 Bones was dispatched to the area, and he was able to pick up a scent to follow. Near Fountain Hills Drive, the dog lost the trail, and police believe the suspect got into a car to leave the area.
