Alcohol and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the cars involved in a serious accident last Friday, Mount Pleasant police confirmed.
Michelle Peters, 69, suffered injuries serious enough to require transport by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital after she turned left into oncoming traffic at Highway 31 and Margery Drive Friday morning around 10:30 a.m.
Evan-Michael Olison, 21, was also injured, but he was treated and released from the hospital the same day.
Officers found alcohol in Peters’ vehicle and drug paraphernalia in Olison’s car.
Blood draws were done on both drivers, but as of Monday night, there weren’t any charges pending against either one of them. MPPD Sgt. Eric Relich confirmed that citations also have not been issued.
