Caledonia Police and deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department surrounded a house at about 11 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 4800 block of Douglas Avenue searching for a woman, according to preliminary reports by the Racine County Scanner.
The road had been shut down at Four Mile and Douglas Avenue for about an hour as law enforcement officials surrounded the house and demanded that the woman come out of the house using their public address system. Eventually, the homeowner woke up, realized that the police had surrounded his house, and called 911 asking what was happening. He was told to go outside to talk to the officers and they searched his house.
Officers did not find the woman they were looking for at the house, but then went to another home on Root River Parkway and talked to her.
We’ve got calls into officials with the Caledonia Police Department on this and when we get more information, we’ll update the story.
would like to know if it was Root River Drive in Caddy Vista you wrote about or Root River Parkway I see someone else would like that answer too
I believe it was Root River Parkway, but let me double check on that.
Amy, Barb your old neighbor from root river drive here. I had posted this same question on Jan 26th under Tim’s name. lol. Still waiting for the answer. So tomorrow we can call 835-4423 and get the actual report and actual address whether it is root river drive or root river parkway. I called the caledonia police and that is what they told me to do. Just thought you may like to know too.
