An Oak Creek man was charged with his 7th drunk driving offense on Feb. 13 after he crashed his car at 7:19 p.m. on Feb. 13.
Trevor Davis, 39, of Oak Creek, was arrested for drunken driving and operating a vehicle while revoked by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office on Feb. 14.
If convicted, Davis faces up to 11 years in prison and fines up the $27,500.
According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, police received a complaint that he was driving all over the road. A second caller told police that Davis had crashed the car he was driving over a snow embankment at the dead end of 5 Mile Road just east of Dublin Court.
Police noted that the car appeared to go airborne and went down a hill, the came to rest in a creek. The officer found Davis sitting in his car smoking a cigarette. When he got out of the car, he backwards into open door. The officer tried to help Davis up the hill, but he fell face first three times into the snow.
“Trevor had very poor balance and he could not say a sentence that made sense,” wrote the officer. “From what I could comprehend from Trevor was that he was headed home, which is in Oak Creek. Trevor got lost trying to find his way back home to Oak Creek. Trevor did not know where he was at.”
After Davis got back up the hill, the officer had to physically hold Davis up and was “too impaired to sign off the waiver form with rescue.”
Davis didn’t have a driver’s license because he had six other drunk driving charges. He also refused to take a field sobriety and was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.
Davis is expected to have a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Feb. 20.
