A Caledonia man was charged with felony drug charges after Racine Police found $12,000 worth of marijuana in his car and at his residence.
Vincent Cain, 56, was arrested for possession of marijuana, and intent to deliver or manufacture, and maintaining a drug trafficking place, by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office on Feb. 14.
If convicted, Cain faces up to nine years three months in prison and/or up to $20,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators with the Racine Police Department/special investigations unit executed a search warrant to search his car and his residence after they discovered he was selling marijuana in the City of Racine and other communities.
An investigator stopped Cain during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 at Highway G when they found three containers with 281.5 grams of high grade marijuana in the trunk of Cain’s car. At Cain’s house, investigators found another 90.6 grams of marijuana in a backpack, 31.5 grams in a baggie, scales and drug paraphernalia. The street value of the marijuana is estimated at $12,000.
Cain is being held on a $2,500 bond at the Racine County Jail. A preliminary hearing has been set for 9 a.m. Feb. 20 at the Racine County Courthouse.
