Representatives from Land and Lakes Development will appear before the Mount Pleasant Planning Commission for final site plan approval for the first building of a new business park.
A 132,000 square foot spec building – the first of at least four – is slated for construction this spring so a tenant can move in sometime this fall. Village trustees approved the development of a new business park at the southeast corner of Highways 20 and V.
While the space can be customized for either a manufacturing or warehouse operation, village Community Development Coordinator Logan Martin said a distribution/industrial tenant is more likely.
New jobs will be part of the development, but how many depends on the business that moves into the building.
The Mount Pleasant Planning Commission meets at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive. Call (262) 664-7800.
