Watches Canceled

Update: 8:00 p.m.

All watches and warnings for Racine County have been canceled.

Our friends at WISN 12 News are confirming that Racine County is no longer under the threat of severe storms.

“All thunderstorm warnings and watches for southeastern Wisconsin have been canceled,” the station posted.

Unlike our neighbors just to the north, Racine County Eye residents are not experiencing any major power outages because of the strong storms that blew through the area.

Most outages near the county are west of I-94, according to the We Energies outage map.

Only about 40 customers – in the neighborhood on Spring Valley Drive across from the hospital are without power; another 5 or 10 at 31 & 4-Mile; and less than 5 among the houses behind Lincoln Park – are listed without power.

Damaging winds and more rain were expected through the 9 o’clock hour, said WISN Meteorologist Mark Baden.
