Racine police are asking for help apprehending a group of six boys suspected of beating a resident and threatening to kill the man’s dogs.

Officers were called June 29 to the 1600 block of Park Avenue for a report of an assault. When police arrived, a man told them he was in back yard with his dogs when the dogs escaped to the front of the house.

The man said when he got to the front of his home, six teenage boys began harrassing him, saying they were going to kill his dogs. When the man asked the boys to move along, they began to hit and punch him and threatened to kill the dogs.

Police say the man could only describe the suspects as black male juveniles between the ages of 15 and 18 years of age. One of them was about 6’2″ and another was wearing plaid shorts and a white shirt.
