A 15-year-old Caledonia boy was treated and released from Froedtert Hospital after he struck a legally parked car while riding his bicycle at 4:58 p.m. Thursday in the 5600 block of Alburg Ave., according to the Caledonia Police Department.
A witnesses told police the boy was waving to a person just before hitting the car. Suffering from trauma to his head, the boy was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital — All Saints, but then taken to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life.
Lt. Gary Larsen, of the Caledonia Police Department, said the boy had deep lacerations to his head, but was released from the hospital today.
