Zoo keepers had to corral Alinga, a wallaroo at the Racine Zoo, back into the area she escaped from on Friday. Alinga usually stays in Walkabout Creek, but for about 15 minutes she roamed the zoo, according to the Racine Zoo Facebook page.

Luckily the zoo keepers were able to quickly react and lock the main gate before she escaped the zoo. Officials with the zoo said this doesn’t happen very often.

Kayla Cornwell Yeah, David Marweg, Aubrey and I were quite surprised when we walked out of the primate house and she was right in front of us! Great day at the zoo.

Emily McGrath Shout out to Chase Kilpatrickwho locked the main gate just in time!
