Martin Gorst, 23, of Caledonia, was charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with possession of narcotic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted of both charges, Gorst faces up to nine years seven months in prison and/or fined up to $10,500.
According to the criminal complaint, a family member found Gorst slumped over in a chair with a needle in his arm in the 9900 block of Saratoga Drive. Not breathing, the family member called 911 and told the dispatcher that her son had a problem with drug abuse.
Gorst told an officer with the Caledonia Police Department that admitted to using heroin. The officer also found a plastic syringe, cloth belt, and a tin foil packet in his dresser drawer. Gorst is being held on a probation hold. His bail has been set for $2,000.
