resizeRacine County District Attorney Rich Chiapete, Racine County Executive Jim Ladwig, the Horlick High School football team, the Union Grove Union High School football team, and a ton of others are helping to raise money for ALS and taking the Ice Bucket Challenge.

All over the country people are challenging one another to make a donation to the ALS Association and then post videos of themselves getting doused with buckets of ice.

Sure, it all may seem a little strange watching the guy that puts criminals away in Racine County get doused with water, but quite frankly the trend has caught on nationwide and it’s raised about $23 million for ALS Association. ALS, or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
