A stroll with art, classical music, history in a park and much more are on tap for this weekend in Racine County. Come along with Real Racine.

An evening of art. The River’s Edge Art Walk promises an art-filled autumn weekend in Downtown Waterford from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. This third annual event features the work of more than 30 area artists at business and community buildings. There is also live music at six locations all evening. Just park and hop the free trolley to the brightly colored paintbrushes that mark the artist locations. It’s all free and presented by Absolutely Waterford. Visit www.absolutelywaterford.org

Step back into history. The annual Half Point Historical Re-enactment returns to the Racine County Fairgrounds, 19805 Durand Ave. (Hwy 11), Union Grove. You’ll see re-enactors in period costumes providing a glimpse of the eras of the War of 1812, the Civil War and World War II. There are also demonstrations of weaving, spinning, paddle making and frontier tools. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. This event is free, courtesy of the Union Grove Lions and Kiwanis clubs. Donations are accepted.

Cellist highlighted. Ian Maksin, a cellist and 2011 Racine Symphony Orchestra artist-in-residence, returns for Saturday evening’s RSO Masterworks Concert. The concert is 7:30 p.m. at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave. He’ll be performing the world premiere of Ilya Levinson’s “Concerto for Cello and Orchestra” with the RSO. In the ring. The Battle of the Badges is almost here. Boxers from area police and fire departments will face off in four bouts and a feature match Saturday night to benefit Easter Seals at the Case High School gym, 7345 Washington Ave., Mount Pleasant. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the bouts start at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door. Kids ages 14 and younger get in free. There is also a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. It’s sponsored by the Mount Pleasant Police Association.

That barbershop music. The Riverport Chorus, a 44-member women’s barbershop chorus, present their 2014 cabaret show “Wheel of Harmony” on Sunday. The chorus and special guests Easy Days Quartet take the stage at Veterans Terrance, 589 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.; the show starts at 4 p.m. Tickets are $15, adults; $10, students. Kids under 5 get in free. Call 262-492-1212 or visit www.riverportchorus.org

Coming soon. The Real Racine Skeleton Skamper, the area’s only costumed 5k and half-marathon is coming soon – Saturday, Oct. 25 to the Sealed Air Family YMCA, 8501 Campus Drive, Mount Pleasant. Register by Oct. 22 for just $20 for the 5k or $40 for the half-marathon, including a great post-race party. The kids trick-or-treat walk is just $5 per child.
