NewtenantsBigLots

Work is underway at the building housing Big Lots to remove an old auto bay and prepare for two or three future tenants.

Mount Pleasant Community Development Coordinator Logan Martin told Racine County Eye that work approved at the July 16 Planning Commission meeting got underway earlier this month to make way for two or three new tenants.

“This site plan amendment was on July 16 Plan Commission Agenda. (They are) ripping off old Sears auto bay expansion and adding new facades for two or three tenants,” he said via email. “(The) new tenants unknown at this time.”

The spaces measure 8,400 and 10,600 square feet, respectively, a story in The Journal Times reads.

B & K Enterprises – owner of the lots – is also replacing sewer pipes under the parking lot and repaving the area for better storm water management, the story continues.
