Former Caledonia President Jonathan Delagrave is running for Racine County Executive.

Currently, Delagrave is head of the county’s Human Services Department. He made the announcement Tuesday just hours after Jim Ladwig announced his resignation, the story in The Journal Times reads.

According to our friends at 91.1FM WGTD radio, Delagrave has chalked up endorsements from Ladwig and Bill McReynolds and Jean Jacobsen, both of whom are former county executives.

Delagrave said in a news release obtained by the newspaper that he intends to keep service levels for residents high and costs low.

“Racine County has been a great place to raise my family,” Delagrave said in the released quoted by the JT. “If I am fortunate enough to become the next County Executive, I hope that I can contribute to making it as positive of an experience for others as it has been for me.”
