Racine County is under a dense fog advisory until noon Sunday, and drivers are urged to use caution when out and about.

Visibility is expect to only be a quarter-mile or less in most areas so motorists should use caution when approaching intersections and use low-beam headlights when traveling area roadways.

The National Weather Service posted the advisory at 8:57 p.m. Saturday as fog settled over Central Wisconsin and spread to southeast parts of the state.

“Areas of dense fog have developed over South Central Wisconsin this evening with patches of dense fog over Southeast Wisconsin,” the advisory reads. “Widespread visibilities of one quarter-mile or less are expected, (and) the dense fog will persist into Sunday morning.”

WISN 12 News Meteorologist Mark Baden is forecasting warm temperatures and fog through most of the day Sunday. Viewers should expect more clouds and rain Monday.
