2014 NB ornament

The 2014 Kiwanis ornament features a colorful design of Racine’s fabulous North Beach. Named one of “51 Great American Beaches” by USA Today, North Beach sees an estimated 200,000 visitors annually.

Pick up your ornament (and one for friends or family members) for just $10 at the Real Racine Visitor Center, 14015 Washington Ave. (Highway 20); Victory Lane Car Wash, 5310 Washington Ave., or Dover Flag & Map, 323 Main St.

Proceeds from the ornament sales support the Kiwanis Holiday Lights at the Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St. The spectacular, free light display can be viewed every evening through Dec. 31.

The Kiwanis brass ornaments have been an annual tradition since 1999. Previous designs have honored many Racine County icons, including the Fourth Fest Parade, Kringle, SC Johnson’s Fortaleza Hall, Racine Zoo, the Main Street drawbridge and the Wind Point Lighthouse.

Ornaments from past years are available. Brass (gold) versions are $5; color versions are $10.
