The Real Racine Visitor Center will begin accepting advance reservations for Racine County’s campgrounds at Cliffside Park and Sanders Park on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.

In-person and mailed reservations will be taken at the Visitor Center, 14015 Washington Ave. (Highway 20), beginning at 9 a.m. that day. Telephone reservations at 262-884-6400 and online reservations (www.realracine.com) will be accepted after 2 p.m. that day.

The Visitor Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Visit www.realracine.com and click “Camping” for information about regulations and pricing.

Meanwhile, in-person and mailed reservations for Racine County picnic areas and shelters will be accepted starting at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at the Racine County Public Works and Developmental Services office, 14200 Washington Ave. Rates ranges from $25 to $175.

Racine County parks requiring picnic area and shelter reservations are: Cliffside, Colonel Heg, Eagle Lake, Old Settlers, Pritchard, Sanders and Quarry Lake plus the Root River Parkway. Telephone reservations at 262-886-8457 will be accepted starting at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12.
