After announcing last July that it would move its headquarters to North Carolina to consolidate operations over the next three years, Sealed Air has announced it will move out of Sturtevant by Sept. 30, 2015.

165 workers will lose their jobs between April 3rd, 2015, and June 20th, 2017, according to a story at FOX 6 Now.

In a letter to the state Department of Workforce Development, Norman Finch outlined how the lay-offs will roll out. Finch is a Sealed Air vice president and corporate counsel.

“All Diversey Headquarters employees will be temporarily relocated to a facility in Racine, Wisconsin,” the notice reads. “All Diversey Headquarters employees will be laid off or permanently relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, by June 30, 2017.”

When the move to North Carolina was confirmed, Sealed Air executives notified village officials that up to 350 jobs would be moved or eliminated as part of the move.

Sealed Air is set to receive $41 million from North Carolina if they meet promised job creation and investment goals. Another $5 million is also on the table from a mix of state and local incentives.

The company sold the building to SC Johnson last month for $27.6 million but will continue to lease space through until the end of September.
