Racine County is under a wind chill advisory – again – because overnight temperatures are expected to dip as low as -7 with wind chills of about -18 by the time most of us head out the door Monday morning.
The wind chill advisory officially goes into effect at 9 p.m Sunday and expires at 10 a.m. Monday.
“As the core of the cold slides over us Monday morning, a wind chill advisory will likely be needed.  Feels like temperatures will start in the -17 to -25° range.  Keep this in mind as you send your kids out to the bus stop as extra layers will be needed,” WISN 12 News meteorologists reminded parents on the station’s weather blog.
Residents are also reminded to check on neighbors and to alert authorities if pets are outside without shelter or left out too long in the severe cold.
