Allen Shadduck, a convicted child sex offender, will be released from prison on April 15.Because a convicted sex offender plans to move into a residence in the 2000 block of Washington Ave., the Racine Police Department is hosting a sex offender notification meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at the Richard V. Polzin COP House, 1900 16th St.

Allen Shadduck, a convicted child sex offender, will live at 2007 Washington Ave. The 70-year-old man was convicted in 2002 and is expected to be released from prison on April 14, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Shadduck will be required to wear a GPS bracelet and register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.

The Racine Police Department plans to hold the informational meeting, but it is not intended to be a forum for public comment. Because adult subject matter will be talked about at the meeting, only adults are invited to attend the meeting.

“This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will NOT be tolerated,” according to the press release.
