Mount Pleasant police say a 37-year-old Racine man was drunk when he pointed a gun at a customer with two small children present at a local car wash over a disagreement about speed.
Officers say a village resident was at Regency West Carwash, 6149 Regency West Dr., Saturday with his two small children, ages 2 and 7, when another man pulled into the carwash at a high rate of speed. When the father took issue with the way the other man was driving, the man pulled a gun and pointed it at the father.
Police say they arrested the driver for:
- Operating While Intoxicated
- Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration
- Endangering Safety Intentionally Pointing a firearm at another
- Endangering safety; armed while intoxicated
The man did have a concealed carry permit for the firearm, and he was released from jail after posting bond.
