A seven-year-old boy was hospitalized with serious, but not life threatening injuries after he was stuck by a car at 5:59 p.m. Sunday, April 12, according to a press release by the Caledonia Police Department.
The boy was riding a scooter in the 5000 block of Candlelight Drive with his parents nearby when a 78-year-old woman driving a car struck the boy. He was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.
The woman, who is not being charged by the Caledonia Police Department, told police she didn’t see the boy prior to the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
