**Updated 8 p.m.

Jessie James Moll remains in the Racine County Jail on a $75,000 cash bond. He is in custody because Racine police say Moll stabbed a man March 29 at the Riverside Inn.

RAPD announced Monday on Facebook that Moll was behind bars. He was charged Tuesday in Racine County Circuit Court with one felony count each of aggravated battery, use of a dangerous weapon and 1st degree reckless injury, use of a dangerous weapon. Both charges also carry domestic violence assessments.

If convicted, Moll faces up to 40 years in prison and/or up to $125,000 in fines.

Moll was wanted by police for his alleged participation in the stabbing of a 21-year-old man March 29 at the Riverside Inn, 3800 Northwestern Avenue. The victim suffered non-life threatening wounds and was treated at Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s for his injuries.

According to the criminal complaint, Moll was at the Riverside Inn with three other people – including the victim – when they got into an argument during which Moll stabbed the man.

Moll fled the scene on foot, the complaint reads, and he was on the run for about two weeks before being taken into custody Friday. RAPD did not offer any additional information about how Moll was located.

The defendant will next be in court April 30 for a preliminary hearing.
