unnamedA garbage truck crashed into a car then crashed into a house at 7:13 a.m. Thursday, April 23 at the intersection of 16th Street and Flett, according to off-duty firefighter.

The driver of the garbage truck was driving westbound on 16th Street when it made a turn into a northbound lane onto Flett Avenue. While turning, the garbage truck crashed head on into a car, veered to the northwest, struck a tree and unoccupied apartment, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene, but no life threatening injuries were reported. The Racine Police Department traffic bureau is still investigating the crash.
