A mInmate Imagean was charged with burglary after he stole a Caledonia man’s gun collection and several of the guns were used in other crimes, according to a criminal complaint by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.

Andrew Walker, 18, of Racine, was charged Friday, May 1 by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with burglary. If convicted, Walker faces up to 15 years in prison and/or fined up to $50,000.

According to the criminal complaint, the Caledonia Police Department investigated a burglary where a gun collection valued between $40,000 to $50,000 was taken from a residence in the 3400 block of North Green Bay Road in October.

During the investigation, detectives found a sock, a footprint, and several fingerprints that were — over the course of several months — linked to Walker. In the meantime, several of the guns were connected to a drug investigation involving a juvenile, and discovered in a car that had been involved in a hit and run car crash.

In a separate incident, Walker is facing a felony count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety for shooting a girl with a bb gun on April 15, according to the criminal complaint.

Walker, who is being held on a $10,000 cash bond, is set to have a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. May 6 in Racine County Felony Court Judge Michael Piontek.
