Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc., which owns the Pick’n Save store located at 2210 Rapids Drive, told the state it planned to close that location by June 27, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
This was after it told the city and the Pick’n Save employees in March that it would not be renewing its lease and the store will close by the end of the year. But that timeline has been moved up.
The 66 employees who work at the store were told that despite putting in a number of initiatives at the store to stay competitive, the long-term performance did not produce the results it need to meet the company’s business goals.
We’ve got a phone call into officials with Roundy’s to find out more about the decision.
