Beck Aluminum is moving from one of Mount Pleasant to the other and adding jobs in the process.

In return for growing its workforce by 25 over the next couple of years, Beck will receive incentives from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Racine County Economic Development Corporation, a story at jsonline.com reads.

The company is moving from the Lakeside neighborhood, 1349 23rd Street, to the former Bosch plant at 7505 Durand Avenue.

Bryan Beck, executive vice president, told the newspaper the old space is well over 100 years old, and the new site is much younger, offers space to grow, and can house Beck’s entire operation instead of having departments in different buildings.

Beck will add a 45,000-square-foot scrap receiving area onto the Bosch building which measures almost 200,000 square feet, the story continues.
