Mount Pleasant police say a 40-year-old Racine man is facing a felony charge Tuesday after he pointed a gun at a woman.
Police responded at 7:42 p.m. to the 2200 block of Mead Street for a report of a man pointing a gun “in a threatening manner” at a woman and that he tried to hide the gun after the incident. The man told the woman he was going to shoot her.
When officers arrived on scene, they arrested the man – who they say was intoxicated – and located the gun, a black semi-automatic pellet pistol.
The man was first transported to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s for medical clearance and then booked into the Racine County Jail on charges of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.
