The event is set to open at Racine Civic Centre, 5 Fifth Street. The event features over 100 beer samples and was named among the Top 14 Best Beer Fests on BeerFests.com.

The winner of the competition will be brewed by Lakefront Brewery in the spring of 2016, much like the winner from last year. Mark Flynn’s “Your Turn Mark” brew, a Polish Lager, earned first place and started appearing at local bars on April 23.

The winner and the runner-up of the People’s Choice will also be treated to tours of Wisconsin breweries, dinner and overnight stays.

Tickets are $35. The event is only open to people who are 21 years old or older. Some of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans that are homeless.
