Racine police are searching for up to six people who were involved in an attempted homicide early Friday morning in the 1200 block of Villa Street.
Officers say they were called at 1:13 a.m. in reference to shots fired. When they arrived, two people said they were sitting in front of their home when they were approached by a man they know and five other people. The man and one of the witnesses got into an argument, and the man pulled out a handgun.
Police say the man fired several shots into the air and at the witness before fleeing the area with the other individuals. Neither the witness nor their companion where injured, and officers have been unable to find anything in the area that was struck by bullets.
