Online registration for Slide the City, a 1,000-foot-long “slip-and-slide”, is scheduled to open Wednesday, June 10. The attraction will be set up near North Beach on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Slide the City will use Hoffert Drive from Michigan Boulevard to North Beach Park. Participants will pay to ride their inner tubes down the hill in a family-friendly water party. Single-day attendance is capped at 5,000. Racine and Milwaukee are the only Wisconsin appearances for Slide the City.
Real Racine, the county’s destination marketing organization, is bringing the attraction to the community. Real Racine is paying for the water and park rental fees.
