Not many people are fans of seagulls, but one got caught up in some fishing line on top of the old Zahn’s Department store building, 500 Monument Square.
Lee Jaramillo, who owns Northterra Real Estate Group LLC, has an offer to purchase the old Zahn’s Department store building. He got a call from the folks at Johnson Financial across the street that a seagull was hanging from the roof of the building. So Jaramillo called on his friends Tim Baumstark and Jeff Myhre to help him free the bird.
“We’ve named him Zahn,” Jaramillo said. “He’s currently being taken care of until he regains his strength. He lost the tip of one of his toes. All is good in seagull land.”
