land in CaledoniaCaledonia may be looking to form its own business association to improve various areas within the Village, including improving the highway 31 and 32 entrance into the Village.

The Community Development Authority, which is charged with carrying out redevelopment projects and development programs within the village, will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, July 27.

Here’s the agenda for the CDA meeting.

The five-person committee will talk about making improvements to the village’s website, improving the development process for commercial and residential building, and getting a new logo for the village.

Village president Bob Bradley said the committee, which he plans to have meet more often, will also focus on improving Caledonia’s image.

“The CDA is more about attracting new companies and working with the Racine County Economic Development Corporation as opposed to the planning committee, which is focused on the planning process of building a business,” he said.

David Wagner, the village’s financial consultant, will also explain how a tax incremental finance district works to the new members on the committee. An official from the Racine County Economic Development Corporation will also explain their development efforts.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Monday, July 27 at the East Side Community Center, 6156 Douglas Avenue.
