Racine Unified community members can help kids throughout the district start school off on the right foot by stuffing the bus with needed school supplies.

Cree and Johnson Controls are partnering to provide RUSD school children with supplies like backpacks, pencils, markers, glue, paper, construction paper, colored pencils and more. They’re inviting area residents to pitch in by stuffing a bus – more like a service van – with the needed items.

There will be two “busses” available at two different collection locations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Horlick High School, 2119 Rapids Drive, and Hardee’s at the corner of Highways 20 and 31.

“Johnson Controls and Cree are proud to help improve learning environments across the Racine Unified School District. Please¬†help us give students the tools they need within¬†their classrooms so they can focus on learning,” a written statement reads.
