Racine police K9 Officer Odin helped apprehend a Kenosha man Saturday afternoon after he fled from officers during a traffic stop.

Officers initiated a traffic stop at 3:15 p.m. in the area of Washington Avenue and West Blvd., and identified theCanine Odin (Racine PD) driver having warrants. Police pulled the car over, and the driver fled the scene on foot.

RAPD caught up with the driver a block away and attempted to take him into custody. When he became combative and resistive, K9 Odin was released to assist.

The man was then taken into custody on the warrants and will most likely face fresh charges.
