A new survey wants to know what you think about our great state of Wisconsin, and to invite everyone you know – even if they live elsewhere – to participate as well.

Sponsored by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce in partnership with the Wisconsin Technology Council; the University of Wisconsin System; the Wisconsin Technical College System; the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities; the state Department of Workforce Development; the state Department of Public Instruction; and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., the survey consists of 14 questions that are a mix of open-ended inquiries and multiple choice, a story in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reads.

Columnist Tom Still notes the questionnaire is far from scientific, but that’s kind of the point.

“The online poll is admittedly unscientific because of its open-ended, all-comers nature. Then again, its results may be instructive as policy-makers, business leaders and others grapple with how to position Wisconsin in a world where image often counts more than fact,” he writes.

There are questions about three words you would use to describe Wisconsin; what kind of jobs you expect to find here; and to rank the qualities most important to you when considering a place to live.
