Racine Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting a 33-year-old man in the leg at 8:59 p.m. Monday on LaSalle Street near Albert Street, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was shot in the leg. He told police he was driving through the area when a man “slapped the hood to his vehicle,” according to police.

The man stopped the car, got out and started arguing with the other man. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot at the man several times. The victim’s girlfriend took him to her home in the 1400 block of LaSalle Street and called 911. Rescue personnel from the Racine Fire Department took the man to Wheaton Franciscan Health Care.

The suspect is described as a black man, about five-foot five-inches tall, and having wavy hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jogging pants.
