Nix takes the stage at Kraut Fest.Kraut Music Festival and two other music concerts will be held next year at the Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorial Park.

The Joint Parks Commission approved a recommendation at its meeting held Thursday for GZK Entertainment Inc. to have three music festivals in 2016. GZK Entertainment owner Ray Stibeck, put on Kraut Music Festival and Rock FestRocktoberfest, a third music festival, is set for Oct. 3 this year.

Stibeck also partnered with 95 WiIL Rock, a rock music station based in Pleasant Prairie, to put on Rock Fest and Rocktoberfest.

Jim Svoboda, superintendent of the park, said that if 95 WiIL Rock chooses to come back to the park, the other two festivals will likely be rock concerts.  The final approvals for the concerts still need final approvals from the Caledonia and Mount Pleasant village board.

About 5,000 people attended WiIL Rock Fest on Aug. 22, a 12-hour music festival held at the Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Memorial Park. People behaved themselves inside the park pretty well, but some neighbors living around the park complained about the noise and cursing, said Caledonia Police chief Toby Schey.

Neighbors complained about noise and vulgar language at 95 WiIL Rock Fest, but Stibeck assured neighbors that they would turn down the music and require bands to not use vulgar language between songs or face fines.
